Hello everybody, my name is Anna and I would like to tell
you about a hard situation I have in my life, everyone has been into a
difficult situation at least once in lifetime everybody had been trought good
and bad moments, well one moment that I can say change my life completely
was when I have to decide which major I want to study I was so happy because I
was completely sure I love psychology and that I want to be a therapist when I
graduate but the first months I was in psychology I Was in love with all my classes I was
so interested with the school everything seems so nice, my classmates, my
professors, I really love coming to school but after a semester I start to
think about so many things about my life, my future and If I really want to study and dedicate myself to
listen to anothers problems, I start to
make me so many questions and then I start to talk with many people I know that
are therapist and all my doubts start to be solved, many people tell me that it
was a heavy work to listen to other problems another ones tell me that it was
so much fun but at the same time some patients leave you exhausted and that you
need to be very centered emotionally and I'm not exactly emotionally stable and
I think that if you want to be a good psychologist you must be very focused and
you cant mix your personal life with things that patients tell you.
So after all my doubts I saw that fashion design was opening on the next semester and I always love fashion and clothes and all
the things that involucrate with modeling, makeup,runways so I didnt know how
to tell my parents that I was not comfortable studying psychology and I wanted
to change careers because it was so difficult for me to tell my parents because
we all know that anahuac is not a cheap school and apart from that I feel that
my parents would feel disappointed of my descision so I feel really abrumate
about all the things going trought my head and my time was running because the
semester was about to end so one day I decided that they had to know what
I really want to study and it was fashion design so one Friday after being with my
boyfriend I went to my house and tell my parents everything I feel so nervous
but after I spill out the truth they just told me that If I was sure they would
support my descision I feel so good because after all they feel happy for me,
that was one of the hardest things I pass in life now I have one year studying
fashion and I feel so happy I love my career and when I finish the mejor I would like to dedicate myself designing wedding dresses like vera Wang and fancy ceremony clothes!!

If I don't like what i study i just change career but its not my case because I love law and I really want to dedicate myself to that.
ResponderEliminarI think that in the case I don't like my major, I would tell to my parents and they will support me, becasuse they always want the best for me and my happiness.
ResponderEliminarI don´t know really how I can feel but maybe you can try to tell your parents the thinks that you really like and what yo want to do in your life and the important thing its thats your major makes you happy

I think that you made the best decision, because you are talking about your life, you are talking about the thing that you are going to do you whole life, and I think its normal if we are not sure about our major, but you made the best decision, and you told you parents, and they support you.
ResponderEliminarI think if you dont like what you study is a really dificult desicion to make because some times you think is what you love but it isnt so the best thing you can do is love your carrer so you can love your work if not you would be unhappy.

That is a great question... When I thought the what to study I needed a lot time because my parents are lawyers and I want to study engineering. Like you the time overed and talking with my parents some day I started giving thanck them for all the things that they do for me... after I said all the things that makes me happy and the end I said that my future I will projet like engineering and not like lawyer... Continuous the things that you want and makes you happy.
ResponderEliminarI was in the same situation as you, I change career and I was afraid to talk to my mom, but in the end only want the best for us, the parents always support our decisions.
ResponderEliminarI'm happy for you because you achieved to tell your parents and they support you. It's a difficult decition but it is better to be confortable with yourself, i would have done the same as you did, tell my parents about my unconformity and change my major.
ResponderEliminarI had a similar situation, but I don't change my major, I agree with you to change if you not sure about your first option, is about you, and your future, congratulations on your change. And although, parents angry by our decision changes, they always support us.
ResponderEliminari was in the same problem like u because when i choise my major my parents says edwin you have to study for be a politician But I did not want to end I decided on what I felt and it was the best I could do at that time!!

If I didn't like my career, I would feel very sad and unmotivated also I will explain my parents what I feel about my career and my want to study other thing because It is your future!

As previously commented, I'm agree with you because you would feel sad and unmotivated, to be honest I was in the same Ana's situation. At the start I don't knew how say to my mother to I dislike my major, it's a complicated situation but I really recomend you tell the truth to your parents, they understand and support you.
ResponderEliminarHello Ana, I was in the same situation, I wanted study aviation but then I could realize my true passion was the politic, so if you like the things that you love, you don't have to work we can say is like a hobby
